Plug Power expects its new $125 million factory in the Vista Technology Campus will be operating at full capacity within the next six months amid surging demand from customers who use hydrogen fuel cells to power everything from forklifts to data centers and manufacturing plants.

The Port of Albany will begin construction of the nation's first offshore wind tower factory after the Bethlehem town planning board unanimously approved the $350 million project Tuesday evening, clearing the way for an investment that will create 550 jobs.

Tuesday, March 8, Bethlehem Supervisor David VanLuven joined Governor Kathy Hochul, County Executive Dan McCoy, New Scotland Town Supervisor Doug LaGrange, and Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh at the groundbreaking for the new Plug Power facility in the Vista Tech Park in Slingerlands.

The Town is now accepting applications for the latest round of its Microenterprise Grant Program.

Tom Connolly has retired after over twenty-five years’ service to the BIDA.
